Not too long ago, I bought my husband (Isak) the book "Natural Cures They Don't Want You to Know About". Although the author is a convicted felon, and I did expect some very absolute, almost fanatical claims in the book, I was thought there might be quite a bit of truth in it and was very interested in what Kevin Trudeau had to say.

First of all, Isak is a proponent of all things healthy and natural. He doesn't even like taking a pill for a headache. Having been a former research chemist, he is not a big fan of pharmaceutical companies either. So I expected that he would enjoy "Natural Cures" and agree with the opinions stated in the book. Well, reading the book only fueled his desire to live as "cleanly" as possible-- to eat organic foods, use organic products, drink filtered water, and even shower with filtered water. SIGH.... I told him to take everything with a grain of salt. The things you eat may kill you, but I believe the stress over trying to be absolutely clean (almost to the point of obsession) will kill you first.

I haven't read the book but recent events have prompted me to be much more aware of what I eat, and encouraged me to seek out organic products. Isak and I are currently exploring "healthier" options and are enjoying ourselves along the way.
